Our certified instructors guarantee you’ll catch waves while learning proper technique and ocean safety in our private or small-group lessons.

Private Lessons:
1 instructor for 1 person or 2 (if you’re in the same group). You’ll catch more waves and progress faster with this one-on-one attention.

Group Lessons (Adults):
1 instructor for up to 5 students. This keeps things clear and safe in the water, so you can learn faster and have more fun.

Group Lessons (Kids):
1 instructor for every 3 kids under 10. We adjust the ratio based on each child’s needs and sea conditions. Kids go in the water one at a time with the instructor for safety, making them feel more comfortable and enjoy the experience even more.

Big Group Lessons:
Perfect for corporate team-building, birthdays, retreats, themed parties, and other events. We’ll tailor the lesson to fit your group’s needs!

• We operate 7 days a week, rain or shine. Our lessons are always scheduled based on the best tide for your skill level, usually around low tide.

Our surf school is based at Pego Beach, and the majority of our lessons take place there. You can find us easily on the map: IMAGINE SURF SCHOOL.

Summer Lessons:
Throughout the summer, all lessons are held at Pego Beach.

Other Locations:
Depending on swell forecasts, we sometimes offer lessons at the following beaches:

Our lessons are 2 hours long, broken down as follows:

• First 30 minutes: Getting ready – putting on wetsuits, warming up, and practicing on the sand.
• Next 90 minutes: Time spent in the water, where you’ll be catching waves and improving your skills.

You’re free to take breaks whenever you need. The focus is on having fun and learning at your own pace!

To make the most of your time in the sun and water, don’t forget the essentials:

• Sunscreen

• Bathing suit

But there’s one more important thing to bring when you start your surf lesson: a willingness to learn.

• We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to your surf lesson. This gives us ample time to fit you for your wetsuit and assess your skill level.
• During the summer, parking near the beach can be a bit tricky due to the crowds. Arriving early will ensure you have enough time to get your gear, choose your surfboard, and start your lesson without cutting into your surf time. We want to make sure you get the most time possible in the water!

Surf Lessons for All Levels:

Whether you’re a complete beginner who can barely swim or a seasoned surfer looking to get back in the water, we’ve got you covered.

I’ve personally taught students as young as 4 and adults in their 80s. We offer:

• Beginner Surf Lessons for first-time surfers
• Intermediate Lessons for surfers with some experience
• Advanced Lessons for those looking to improve their techniques and take their surfing to the next level

No matter your age or skill level, we’re here to help you improve and enjoy your time in the water!

• It’s recommended that you know how to swim and feel comfortable in the ocean. However, we always tailor our lessons to your needs. If you’re really afraid of the sea but still want to try, we recommend booking a private lesson.
• For children who can’t swim, it’s not a problem. They are always accompanied by an instructor, and the lesson takes place in shallow water.

If the lesson is cancelled due to safety or weather conditions, you will be fully refunded or can reschedule at no extra cost.

Payment is required at the time of online booking. If you prefer to pay in person, you can do so by cash, card, or bank transfer.
